It was fun enough for me to troll people as devil's advocate but if Wiggy's for real and gets what's coming to him, so much the better.

                        • It's really easy, people tend to speed up when people try to pass. It's something you do automaticly.

therefor you always need much speed to pass someone. You can't pass someone by driving a bit faster then that person. You must be much faster.

Not to mention that you should only pass someone if there's no oncoming traphic. Most people make the mistake to pass someone while they can't even see the upcoming traphic (mostly because they're too close to the person they try to pass) (you need distance from the person you want to pass, then you start speeding up, then you pass within 5 seconds, and go back to the other lane)

Other people pass people before a corner or something.
Anyway, passing someone is easy. Nobody should be able to speed up that hard so that you can't pass anymore (unless they're in a porche or something).

Anyway, apparantly Wiggy had to break down pretty hard to get his car behind the old lady again. (that's what he said) (doesn't sound like driving 35 mph btw). Maybe he could barely make it behind her in time, that's possible. But the seconds after that the old lady should've driven away hard from him, since the concequences of his breaking down and her speeding up must result in a big gap in the end.

After that wiggy must have hunted her tail, fallen asleep or be really drunk to crash on her. I'd say: most probably the 1st option. Then the lady either had had enough of this idiot, and pushed her break hard, indeed to hit him. (which is totally valid to do! Someone should always be at a distance large enough so that you can break down, it's not for nothing that all laws in all sane countries always blame the car that hitted the other car from behind).

It may also be that the old woman just lived there, and had to leave the road. Old women tend to slow down very much when leaving the road. (something that every sane driver should know) (and if you don't know, no problem, just keep enough distance and you won't hit any old lady)

Anyway, the old woman was hitted from behind. Cars are expensive things, it wouldn't suprise me if $350 will be barely enough to repair the car. Everybody who's been in car accidents knows that the costs tend to grow quickly.
And since Wiggy didn't pay her in cash, but in natura, it's only valid to gain a little bit more then what the price might be to fix the car anyway. (books don't fix cars)

The woman didn't grab him by his balls.
C'mon, someone who's smart enough to shop for $350 within 20 minutes could use his CC to shop for $10.000 easily.
I'll tell you that I could've bought for $10.000 (that's ten thousand, you yanks) easily within 30 minutes.

Only $350 is a joke if she tried to screw him over.
$350 sounds reasonable for me, certainly if you keep in mind that it's an old lady that was being hunted on the road by some young maniac.

Wiggy, just get real. I have no problems with speeding. Speeding is not dangerous. Just keep distance and act reasonable. (don't speed if there's tense traffic).
But the key always is: keep distance.

And if you want to pass, start by getting some distance, speed up, and then pass the car you want to pass without problems.

In the end you must have been speeding up WHILE passing her! That's the most foolish thing to do! When you're passing her, then you must already have sped up to the max. Speeding up next to the person you try to pass is n00bish. Passing someone without space to jump is n00bish. Giving your credit card away is uber n00bish.

But most n00bish is that you do all those stupid things, and come online to complain about others!!!!!!!
I really hope I'll meet you on the road one day! I need 4 new laptops

                            • I agree, the distance kept is critical whereas the speed is not (depending on the road of course - the 70mph limit we have on motorways is truly pathetic, and mostly ignored).
