Lord in English is different from LORD which is usually Adonai.

Hebrew has no caps. Adonai is just "my lord", which is in any case a euphemism for the divine name. and of course doesnt have the feudal connotations.

To avoid both the feudal and gender implications of "lord" its become increasingly popular to translate it as "Eternal"

Or just avoid translation altogether.
