Look really like the old mural painted by Diego Rivera in Detroit, which was shown in the movie about Frida.

I love this painter, one of my top 5 painter.

              1- He is french

2- He was despised by most of the XXth century painter.

3- He loved to paint nude women.

Because the painting in question looks Chinese/Japanese in terms of its loose brushwork.

I think we should post more important pieces.
Sorry, I thought it was reasonably well known. I've seen it in several books on Rembrandt's work, in a book comparing the techniques and brushstrokes of Asian and Western paintings, and it's in the British Museum...

'Tis 'Biblis', by that well-known furnisher of classically dressed porn to the haute bourgeoisie, William Adolphe Bouguereau.

                  From nekkid ladies to landscapes.

This looks like an Andrew Wyeth, but isn't.

It looks 20th Century, American Regional, but it isn't.

If it had a horse in it, it might look more like his better known works...

Well, it doesn't fit the clues, but I'm going to guess Hopper (you know, the Nighthawks guy).

Your opinion is predictably irrelevant and ill-informed.

                        How consistent of you.

                        No.

                        A century or two earlier...

                        He really liked horses.

He was fond of classical art.
