First outright lie of the article. There is a series of monuments at Norfolk's Town Point Park, where the USS Wisconsin is berthed, in remembrance of the several disasters, including the Liberty. Its been there for quite a while.

I also recomend visiting the HQ for NAS Pensacola...

we looked the other way when the Iraqis nailed a ship with a French missile during the war with Iran, nothing the 2 parties do surprises me.
We also hit a Turkish frigate with a missile once to. Right into the bridge actually.

And I remember the lack of reaction to the Iraqi missile hitting the Stark ???, we have an extensive track record of the military brass hanging the grunts out to cover their own asses.
There is absolutely no evidence that the Iowa incident was anything other than what they said. Unless you care to tell me what weapons can penetrate the turret armor of an Iowa BB.

The Stark is a case study for every naval officer since it happened. I have personally been forced to study it in ROTC, OCS, and numerous training events in fleet. Not exactly covering anything up now, are they?

No, Molly. What I would theorize is a scheme by Che and his little commie friends.
He comes in here, lays down an article of unreferenced crap and leaves.
A lot of you, being suckers, take the bait. Congrats.

The political irrationality of the degree to which the US supports Israel has been scientifically confirmed.

Sloww: Name me one time in US history where a case of mistaken identity resulted in a multi-pronged assault lasting 2 hours. Bonus points if the incident you named came after repeated recon flights over the target.

I liked that bit in the article where McNamara didn't want to nuke the region in return for the attack. Weasel! No "US aggressor" title for him.

Both the RAF and USAAS accidentally attacked ground targets in Switzerland and San Marino during WW2. Once the error was done the attack was in full run, with no real chance to realize the mistake or abort the attack before it was finished. Of course we're talking about a different level of communication technology here, but you asked about US history.

DD, you believe what you want. There's not enough crap posted on recent events, so let's dredge up 40 year old matters that are resolved, and kick the hell out of it.

Out of interest, was anyone in the IDF relieved of command for shear incompetence after this attack? If we accept the theory that is what it was (I refuse to dignify Skloww's stupid we brought it on ourselves theory) someone should have been punished.

Ignore, that's fine. You're developing a keen ability to ignore facts.

Belittle Che in your sig, then buy into his crap, after he threw the steaming turd on the table and left.
Insult me some more though. Like I'm the fool?
