Thats usually how it works Doc, however we are talking of someone that thinks she is above the law and the sheriff prolly got a pretty penny for turning her loose, not to mention his 15 minutes of fame. This whole case is BS I dotnt hink the judge is doing justice to suit the law i think he is doing what he did to further his career, and the sheriff we all agree broke the law since she was already in custody. But to think this all could have been avoided had the idiot, Paris, just paid for the insurance for the suspension on her license and went and got the dam thing back. Not like she is hurting for cash..

While I think that she should serve her punishment right, and not use any shortcuts - in the end she's just a scared stupid girl, that's having a bad experience.

while I am sort of... happy that justice is done and that she isn't evading punishment due to her 'celeb' status - I refuse to take part in the gloating.

I don't mind gloating over evil people. Heck, I'd gloat over Saddam.

But Paris isn't evil. She's a dumb little kid. She deserves pity because her only claim to fame is her vagina.

Actually, her original claim to fame is her inheritance. The wild sex thing came later and made her the tabloid superstar she is today. But I concur, it's just not good taste to laugh at her IMO.

Hmm, let's see, it's a drug that she left behind, and presumably couldn't bring to jail with her. Her not being able to get to it caused her great anguish, both physical and mental. The sherriff then let her out. I'll bet Paris would suck for crack...
