You lead such an interesting life. Mingling with aliens. Now, how cool is that?

Damnation onto all perpetual political relativists of the world.

Good thing I've already ordered The Reagan Diaries to soothe my mind.

... a source told the New York Daily News in remarks published over the weekend that Hilton -- terrified that guards would snap a cell-phone picture of her on the toilet while she was incarcerated in Lynwood -- didn't eat or drink for three days, which left her facing a life-threatening collapse.

Hilton also suffered from "extreme claustrophobia" and began hyperventilating, the Daily News reported.

"She cried the entire time, and that wasn't helping the dehydration," the source told the newspaper.

Jail medical officials became concerned that severe dehydration and a buildup of waste and toxins in Hilton's body could cause a complete collapse and "even kill her," the source told the Daily News.
            Reality check:
Is it psychologically possible to cry for three days solid? I don't think so.
A Field & Stream article I read says you die of thirst after four days without water. Hilton supposedly didn't drink for three and walked out of the jail?
I think someone sold the NY Daily News a pile of poop.

I care nothing about Paris Hilton.

I do care very much about Los Angeles's legal system being run an a fair and equal manner.

Yeah, ok...I understand that. I guess it's just a matter of your system being a bit different than ours.

In our system, the Sheriffs (that would be the police in our case, but it still amounts to the same thing) have nothing to do with whether or not time can be served at home or what not. That is solely a matter between the Prison and Probation Service (kriminalforsorgen) ad the courts.

What made me stop and question whether due process was served in this case was the fact the she was released by the Sheriff's department.

Sheriffs shouldn't be letting people off here in the US either.

What is it with Americans, and God? Why is it that every time famous Americans wat to make significant changes, they attribute it to them "having found God", or "God has told me", or "It is God's will, that I....". Why not take responsibility for your own life and actions instead?

Disclaimer: This was not meant to slam the US - it was just a statement of the huge cultural gap that is opening up between Europe and the States. Proof that cultural imperialism is a dead theory?

I think it's all BS myself. They just want to fit in, and think saying god will get them more respect.
