All anyone needs to do is surf your last posts from your user profile. Good amount of sarcasm and denigration though. Top hat!

'sarcasm and denigration' I can own up to. I try to avoid shrill, though.

In the london olympics logo i do not see any meaning at all.
Well, if you squint hard enough (which comes naturally to me), the upper left looks sorta like Great Britain, and the upper right looks sorta like how London's area looks.

Or, that's what I hear. The only one I can sorta make out is the upper left.

As far as the lower half, I dunno. Is it supposed to be some distorted Japanese kana?

I don't know who's worse, the minority who will defend anything remotely english/at a stretch british (who really defends britain nowadays apart from empirist english people, scots welsh and irish are all more concerned with their own identities than any brit one.) or the seeming majority of people who criticize ANYTHING british. I swear, the people who complain about this logo or european regulation BANANAZ have probably never complimented anything in their life. Apart from the latest diecast trainset from "insert toy train maker here".
That's bull**** and you know it.

I liked the old logo. This new one just... isn't appealing on any level. Just because it's "different" doesn't mean it's good.

The logo looks like some ad agency's work experience product, dreamed up by an ex-public school girl who has just been informed about rap, hip-hop and graffiti.

And who has been deafblind from birth.

Sir Keith Mills, Deputy Chairman of LOCOG said: “The logo and brand identity of the London Games is hugely important. It is the emblem that everyone will identify with and will be used to promote the Games. It needs to be visually attractive, strong and inspirational and must be an effective tool for us to use, to raise sponsorship to help fund the Games”.

It needs to be visually attractive, strong and inspirational
It easily avoids satisfying all those criteria then.

It resembles more the scrunched up chilli sauce stained paper wrappers from kebab shops, windblown, littering London streets on a Friday and Saturday night.

That authentic 21st Century East End feel, then...

It took me quite a while to figure out those were numbers at all. When I looked at it, it just seemed to be random shapes that didn't visually coalesce into anything.

I still don't see numbers, but I do see Lisa Simpson's head

Now they have an excuse to change it.

I would rather see you lot have to live with such an atrocious logo.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
