no, its a sign of an American standing up to the liars in Washington who got us into Iraq and getting attacked or supported based on that message.

          Explained by whom?
          Casey, when he reenlisted.

no, its a sign of an American standing up to the liars in Washington who got us into Iraq and getting attacked or supported based on that message.
Oddly enough, why is there such a divergence of opinions from people who are actually affected in any meaningful way by most of this, the members of the military, and the people whose lives have not changed in any meaningful way whatsoever, like most internet forum posters?

I wasn't aware that she was still really active. Fo gigure. I have no real opinion about her. If I lost a child I might go pretty nuts too, but then at least 3,000 people have lost children in this disgrace and they're not all going nuts. I prefer the guy who wrote an op-ed in this week's WaPo. I don't recall his name, but he's a history professor in Boston who lost a son in Iraq lately...he sounded more reasonable than Sheehan.

                  Casey, when he reenlisted.
He said he agreed with the Bushies and not his mother? He re-enlisted because we "were going to invade Iraq" based on what the Bu****s told everyone, not the truth as it dribbles out over several years. Dont confuse his loyalty to his fellow soldiers and his oath with loyalty to the Bushies and their lies. He cant speak for himself, but before I believe a bunch of pissed off Repubs I'll believe his mother knew his heart in his last days, or what he'd think now as the lies are being exposed... To ally Casey with the Bu****es against his own mother is the only insult I see, certainly not his mother spitting on his grave because she wants to be famous or something.

Oddly enough, why is there such a divergence of opinions from people who are actually effected in any meaningful way by most of this, the members of the military, and the people whose lives have not changed in any meaningful in any way whatsoever, like most internet forum posters?
The military is a conservative institution where you follow orders, i.e., its autocratic and the Prez is top dog - criticizing top dog is a no-no. Then there's the psychological effect of being in the war and coming to grips with the reality the war wasn't necessary. The only thing you have left is your buddies and the hope the Iraqi people take advantage of your sacrifice, but that sure dont mean you think the Bushies were honest and no hindsight is allowed for those who went under false pretenses.

I don't know. He's calling for her execution over this. She's just a grieving mother.

Good riddence! May she and Jane Fonda enjoy each other's company in hell.
All sSheehan did was protest against the war.

The day Americans are no longer premitted to protest, our freedoms will have died and the enemies of freedom will have finally triumphed.

What can I say? Some people (like yourself) can't get it through their tinfoil hats that Western intelligence could be so incompetent.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. We can go with that (god your a ******), or we can go with they are the people that have first hand knowledge of the facts on the ground, are one of the most educated groups of people on the face of the earth (fact), have made concious choices to go for factors other than the ones you are hung up on (I never justified anything through WMDs, oddly I haven't met any military people who say that), and are proud of their service and mission there despite what circumstances have made it.

Simple fact is Cidy Sheehan knows ****. No letters, no video diaries, no journels, no internet blogs from your sun exist. She knows her son like other people know there children. Can your mom acurately describe your positon on abortion in detail? How about what your opinion on Kensyian economics? Thought not.

So until SHE comes up with proof, I'll go with Casey's actions
