Clearly you missed the point of proportions, not volume of people...

I do have to agree with Asher though. LA does feel like three separate cities because the place is very segregated based upon income. Most of the whites live in the richer coastal parts of the city. The blacks live in the poorer south eastern and south central parts while the Middle easterns, south Asians, and Latin Americans fill in many of the other areas mixed in with poor whites. That means the enthnic groups don't do a hell of a lot of mixing on a day to day basis.
They're both hellholes filled with politician scum.
dont know about Ottawa, but Id guess we have more ethnic Koreans than professional politicians in Dee Cee.

Now, if you want to talk "ethnicity", then I'd agree that LA is more diverse than TO.
That's basically a snapshot of the difference between the US and Canada in terms of diversity, by the way. The US has a larger number of native-born blacks and either native-born or immigrant Hispanics. Canada has a larger number of native-born French speakers, a larger number of both native-born and immigrant East Asians, South Asians, Arabs and Southern and Eastern Europeans and a larger number of foreign born blacks (mainly from Haiti and West Africa)
Canada did seem to get more of the Eastern Europeans leaving post Communist Europe in the early to late 1990's. The US should have opened its borders and taken in more of that work force since they're generally educated and hard working. I guess the US was feeling anti-immigrant at the time though so we missed out on the best parts of that wave.
Not particularly. Though now that YOU mention it, LA happens to have a VERY diverse jewish community
You mean people who like plain bagels vs people who like poppyseed bagels?

Tons of millions indicates proportion and not volume?
Damn Im handicapped by the lack of a technological education.
And the US has a very hefty proportion of Asians, if lower than Canada's.

If youd like to know the answer, you could read the rest of my earlier post. I see no need to post more on the Jewish population.
You seem to like to ask me questions about Jews and Judaism, and then when I answer them you accuse ME of being only talking about such things. Odd, I think.

Uhh...yeah?
It does.
Why don't you think on this one a bit more. Tons of a million other ethnicities...the point was while the foreign population of LA is focused on a couple ethnic groups, in Toronto it's far more spread out.
Your lack of a scientific education is clearly impacting your critical thinking skills.

There are plenty of recent Polish immigrants living in Boro Park, Brooklyn, of all places.

Or maybe I'm continually mocking you for discussing teh j00z in every thread. I've noticed you're trying to tone it down lately, as it only comes up when I mock you again about it, and that's the entire point of it.

I don't like teh j000z!
The purpose is to suppress a topic of discussion that's not important to anyone but you, and highly annoying.
Thank you for your great lesson in diversity.
If we didn't have cranky jews in the world, how else would we get the perfect bagel each morning? Diversity is good, there's just a quota about how much you can kaplich your lip****z about Rabbi Horowitz.

You're just begging for it, aren't you?
