As for all areas being included... YOU even said it was only LA county which only covers about half of the greater LA area. The place really is the worst urban sprawl ever and it is very, very spread out. It has spread far beyond the confines of old LA county. That's like saying downtown London is all there is to London.

The only figures from LA county singularly were the two direct comparisons of European and Caribbean immigrants - you know, the ones that show vastly greater ABSOLUTE numbers of both in Toronto with less than 1/2 of the population of LA county? The other numbers are from the US census link, TOTAL METRO LA. From that, METRO LA has fewer non-Latin American immigrants on an ABSOLUTE basis than Toronto does. In a city 2-3 times the size, nonetheless.
