The Freedom Fries thing was a couple of Republican loons pandering to Fox News because they thought it would get them votes. All they actually did was order the Congressional cafeteria to rename French Fries Freedom Fries for that cafeteria only. Actually my friends and I were in Sanford Florida about a year ago looking for a place to eat when we came across a dingy little restaurant that had it's menu posted on the window.
