I didn't know that it was once owned by Yuengling.

As for the taste, It tastes like a a Beast mixed with a strong rusty can flavor. It's pretty much undrinkable, IMO.

Ahh. Old German. I had completely forgotten about it.

I don't think I've ever seen it offered on tap in any bar I've ever been to.

Yuengling became my standard beer after I moved to Baltimore. Reasonably priced and quite drinkable.

Hey, you gotta love a beer that every April relabels itself "Old Froth 'n' Slosh (the beer with the foam on the bottom)." Doesn't every other beer company take itself way too seriously??

Becks has a bit more of a bite to it. That said, I'm underage and have never had Heine under ideal circumstances. I drank it once. My friend and I were in Portland and met a homelss coke head who said he could get us into strip bars even though we were underage. Long story short he couldn't and we just had him buy us a six pack of Heineken, one of which he "borrowed".

Our hotel was an hours ride outside of town, and by the time we got there the beer had become disgustingly warm. We opened two bottles but collectively drank one and called it a cr**py night.

Thank you for the recommendation though, I will be on the look out when I go to Vegas for my golden birthday this winter.

Yeah stop wasting your time falling off into a much wanted and needed drunken slumber too. I had a maybe a 1/4 of a can of that stuff once at a party along with some and couldn't get to sleep for 3 mildly annoying (like jock itch while you're on a hike annoying) hours.

                              • PBR is actually a good crappy beer for the cost and the fact it isnt budweiser.

the worst beers are malt liquors. their vile taste is only matched by their alcohol content.
