What does PBR have to do with hipsters?

Once touted as Lynchian villain Frank Booth’s beer of choice, Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR, for those in the know) is now the drinking choice of art-fags, emo-fags, and just plain pretentious people.

It's too bad we're only allowed to post two threads a day. If we weren't, you could post threads singing the praises of obscure indie rock bands and ironic t-shirts in addition to this lovefest for PBR.
Yeah, Oerdin's look-at-me-I'm-indie **** is grating.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "
What's with the rolleyes? Am I expected to go to the same forums that you go to? I don't hang out with or associate with hipsters, and I don't know what they find to be cool.
I grew up in the Appalachians. We drank Pabst because it was cheaper than Bud and tasted better. I was the only person who I knew that drank Pabst in undergrad. I guess I missed out on the Pabst hipster revolution of the past few years.

I'm sick of having to explain American culture to Americans. Can't any of you read?
I read your links. I understand them. What I don't understand is why my initial question was met with rolleyes. I honestly didn't know that hipsters like PBR. What's wrong with that?

I didn't know that, but they're only Yankees, after all.

Drake is just trying to be just as pretentious as Oerdin, just in a different manner.

I never knew that about PBR. They don't even serve PBR at most places out here much less concerts. At Coachella the in thing to drink was Mickey's Malt Liquor because it costs around $1.75 for a 40 oz bottle.
Drake, you get the gold star for once again reading to much into everything you see.
