Fair point about the translation Winston.

I certainly wouldn't bet against you on the chances of charges being brought - the odds must now be towards the on side for that happening.

A small distinction but an important one (certainly for her).

I have found their behaviour since she went missing somewhat strange but I'm not sure how I or anyone else might react in the same circumstances.

Lets wait for actual criminal charges before we hang, draw and quarter them.
According to the danish news media, police are indeed pressing charges against Madeleine's mother. Whether the danish media have gotten it wrong, I don't know. But that is what they say

            Arent her parents multi-millionaires?
Therefore one would assume that if there had been a kidnapper then he would have had asked for ransom by now, unless of course his end was to sell the child for its organs.
Either way the second seems more probable/profitable/easier assuming that he is connected to such a practice.

Actually, I think the Danish media (Ritzau, specifically) may well be the ones doing the faulty translation thingy. They've seemingly equated "having been named a suspect" to "er blevet sigtet", which actually means "having been charged" in English. I've seen this inaccuracy/lack of distinction before.

Anyway, I say we hang them. The media and the killers.

I also hope they don't let this lady anywhere near her other children pending the resolution of this. I can't seem to shake the concern that authorities are neglecting to address this not too trivial point.

Oh, and I posted as Emetri earlier on, if anyone was wondering.

There's also potential for fire and other emergency situations. It really depends on the circumstances of how much time and how far away, but three is extremely young to leave alone for any significant period of time.

Most of the time, things never happen, of course. Most safety rules could be ignored on the grounds that most of the time, nothing happens. It's the one time that something does happen that's the problem.

Ok, so apparently the portuguese police think that Maddie's mother killed her daughter by accident, and that the alleged abduction was concocted as a cover-up.

Police base this on the finding of DNA from Maddie in a car that the parents rented 3 weeks after the alledged abduction.

the handling of this case by the police has been a complete shambles from start to finish.
