As a married man, I vouch that opportunities like these are always wasted.

The great part is the fantasy of all the thing you could do while she is away. Stuff like eating take-away every night. Not cleaning the house like you promised to, renting your favourite DVD's, and then watching them over and over in 20 hour marathon sessions.

In the end it always turns out to be a dull week or fortnight, and when she get's back you'll know just why you can't live without her.

At least that's how it usually is for me

When my wife is away, despite the other things (that I have no intention of mentioning), I always spend a little time cleaning a part of the house that she can't not notice when she returns.
When she comes home she usually says "maybe I should go away a bit more often"

We've been happily married for 20 years. Yes we like spending time with each other. But we also like spending time without each other. That's part of the secret of staying married 20 years.
