Oh, I forgot, all of NoD and GC and all those other guys on there were from the US. Now I remember. Face it, the guys who made the Civplayers ladder big refuse to play that game. It's a terrible game and the people in charge of the community run a horrible ladder (I started using Cases ladder back in 96) and are partly responsible for the way the game turned out. If there is one guy I truly hate online it is Friedrich.

oh, I thought you hated me, or am I only worthy of your disdain? Obviously someone who can beat you isn't worthy of your respect.

If you had played normal ladder duel settings it wouldn't have been a game. Instead you sat there for 30min demanding your settings (which I even pointed out in the beginning of the game could dick one of us over from the start) and you refused to play unless I agreed to them. For a guy who doesn't play ladder and doesn't play competitively I'm not sure how you can even talk to me. Obviously I'm not the only one who says this stuff about Civ4 since so many people have quit the game.

The Ladder isn't the measuring stick for a players skill; neither is the size of ones mouth. Unfortunately for you, NOD never won a single CCC...and they kicked you out, didn't they?

Nah, civ2 had its own real ladders, something these civ4 newbies don't even realize. Cases uses a stupid rung system while the civ2 ones used calculated points systems. As for NOD, they kicked me out because I wanted to start a war with C4P. They wanted a new ladder but they weren't willing to divide the community. They all ended up quitting anyway so it was pointless. GC did too. Actually, there's really no one left. As far as NOD never winning a CCC...NOD was the best where it counted. CCC has a lot of stupid settings, I really can't see it as a competitive team gaming organization. What do you expect though when one of the people running it is Canuck Soldier? lol I remember that dumb newbie from civ2. To think that guy was a tester and actually had a say in balance. What a joke. Perfect example of Firaxis not really giving a damn about MP.

Civ4 is flat out broken for powergaming (if you don't suck. this alone kills off all MP and serious competive SP). The two-pop whip trick alone proves this. It is a good game otherwise. Stop this. EyesOfNight is stronger than Sirain and countless others at Civ4.

Edit: In MP the two-pop whip trick is not good most of the time because the tech rate is insane. I'm just using it as an example.

This is when I got pissed off about Civ 3 and the resulting ripple of chaos.

                        lol.

                        LOL.

Honestly, trolling EoN is fun, but I won't bother trolling you because it just isn't worth it. MP isn't dead. There are plenty of games started every night in the lobby, and alot of clans play games over directip. The CCC and COT are held every 3 weeks (alternating) and the CCC is in need of expansion due to the amount of clans trying to participate. And the 2 pop whip trick doesn't work well in MP. IN fact, it's a pretty good way to lose a game.

Most of the people play those games for fun. There are a handful of people who like beating the crap out of the hapless ai as much as possible too or beelineing for a culture win when that is not possible.

And this differs from past Civ version's SP competitions... how?
