To all civ2 MPers that I used to play

1. There are duels. Go look up Rokkit, Mr. GameTheory, TommyNT, Juni...then again, why should these brilliant players waste their time playing against you?
2. Players move on to new things, but they still come back for a game now and then. How is teh website? Moving anywahere?
3. Why should I care if the good C2 players don't play CIV? Other people play CIV, and you don;t have to know how to play C3 or C2 to know how to play CIV. Learn to reason Eyes, it'll help you with gamplay and in real life.
4. So you have to be a ladder player and a beta tester to comment on this game now? All I can say to you Eyes, is to go read the manual.

Frankly I fail to see why Eyes ever thought he was respected in the first place.

TommyNT is brilliant? Give me a break. when I used to play that guy I think he won twice total. Mr game theory and the other beginners came way later and really those guys don't play duels anymore. Every single good player has quit that game, period. There's really no even arguing this. Civ4 as an MP game was a complete and total failure. You can't take all the competition out of the game and slow the pace down to a crawl and expect any good players to play it. I play to win, and I'm not going to play a game where I have to pull teeth and pull out wins by 10 points after 3 hours of playing 250 turns. Civ4 is a game made by communists.

Eyes, are you too thick to see that you can make a game with a turn limit of whatever you want?

As for good players...you stil haven;t reported that loss from about 18 months ago.

That wasn't a ladder game, I'm not on a ladder, and you spent 30min refusing to play until you got all the settings that you wanted. You refused to play on a tiny map mirror game because you needed to dick me over with the map. Also, I'm well aware you can make a game with a turn limit. Unlike you, I actually played competitively in civ4 for a while and was in the top 3 for glicko rating. The fact is it's WAY too ****ing hard to get any sort of lead in Civ4. Tech leads are absolutely ****ing worthless. Not only that, but getting a tech lead is damn near impossible unless you're playing vs a total beginner. The game forces you to stay at the same pace and level as the other guy. Everything about that game was built around preventing leads. You can see it in the city cost system, the tech researching times, hell even the ****ing piece of **** combat system. Civ4 must be a spectacular hit in China.

Post one instance where I have been found to be using two computers? I don't own a laptop, and I never will. If you can't substantiate your claims then shut the **** up. A guy like you who sat in the bottom half of gameleague can't talk to me.

MrGameTheory runs regular 1vs1 tourneys for money you fool.

As for this "beginners" nonsense, you played only when Civ4 hadn't even hit Europe. As for Civ2 combat, it was simplistic pap.
