And I'm not even considering iPhone. I think it's an interesting thingie actually, but I wouldn't be caught dead having the same phone as 13 year old girls. It is a bit of a status marker after all.

YEah. I mean, I just don't .. I'm not saying it's bad phone, I'm saying I hate when inferior products are so overpriced that it doesn't even make sense. I don't like to pay so much more just to say I have it. I'd like to look at the competition, if I see the same quality, more bang for your buck, and in this case more bang and better quality, why would I not just pay half and get the better one?

It's like saying iPod is the best mp3-player out there and definitely not overpriced compared to competition, and saying iTunes makes my dick hard.

Hah, not just the Euros man.. The NA market is quite an interesting mix, it's a very unique market, as well as parts of Asia, mostly Japan and Korea. Outside that? The big players do dominate it all, _especially_ the more expensive phones.

All the strong ones are pretty even in my books as far as quality and sophistication goes, Samsung maybe an inch ahead with the R&D, then again they do deploy their products earlier into the market and use their test market areas a lot so.. difficult to say but it woudlnt' be necessarily wrong to assume they are still a bit ahead usually.

So anyway, the point about different market areas, Americas, EMEA etc.. basically it's not an indicator of quality if some product is dominating some zone and that zone is more sought after, since the most sought after zones right now is Africa anyway, then again they're going with their cheap products there, it's still a big market if you can dominate it. The question is how much of the more advanced devides are sold overall in my opinion and IMO only, because strategies are changing in different zones, so there's the natural leaders are usually stable there, in their main market. A product can be a winner in different zone and a loser in the other zone, it can be seen as bad quality and it can be seen as the winning quality, it changes quite dramatically.

So no, I wouldn't say BlackBerry owns or will own the business world. I would say it has a strong position perhaps in the NA region. But it's still a good product, I'm not saying it's bad or worse than some other product. But definitely not the dominating product.

Blackberry owns the NA business world, which owns the Euro business world.

VL, but seriously, I wouldn't recommend N95 because of the battery issue. It's not convinient if you have to be charging your phone daily, so there's going to be lots of situations where it rans out of juice and that sucks, even if the features are nice. Otherwise I'd recommend the product, it's pretty hot but .. it just won't stay powered long enough to justify the overall purchase IMO. I'd say look at something else.

And believe it or not, this is my all time favourite phone:

It didn't have tons of features, but I really fell in love with it, it was so convinient with everything. Consequently, everyone that had this same phone that I knew, which is 3 people, they all said they really really liked it after a while. I don't know what it was, but I hate it that I changed to a 'better' phone. I miss that one

That is an issue, I really don't want to charge daily anymore. But I'm thinking that N95's camera is what drains the juice, so if I use it only sporadically (which will take some restraint if it's good, I mean - 5 Megapixels ) then the battery could last. Same with GPS which is a huge power consumer, but not something I need on a daily basis. But I'll definitely look into it more. I didn't know N95 had battery issues until you brought it up.

I really, really like the Nokia N95 though it doesn't have carrier support in the US so to buy it in the US you have to pay around $500. That's just to much to spend on a cellphone when other decent models can be had for free.

You can buy it in the US for around $270 with a 1GB memory card. It's not cheap but way cheaper then the N95.

Oerdin, Sure. THat's kind of .. old, but it was cheap considering the range it was in, plus there was just great feeling to it.
