Some African Americans do have reddish hair. I've even seen the children of an Asian-Caucasian couple who had red streaks in black hair- their father was a tall pale skinned red head, their mother Chinese.

Where is the outrage over the Tawana Brawley incident, the Freddies Fashion Mart incident, the false accusations of the Duke lacrosse players...etc?
What, like you've done a scientific comparative study ?

Not judging by your lack of knowledge of the Hymietown aftermath.

Who is still meant to be outraged over the Tawana Brawley incident, by the way ?

Or are tenses not your type thang ?

But this is / may be caucasian influence... I know of blond-headed members of black race (children at Salomon islands have blond hair, which grows darker and darker with time), but red?

Imus got fired. Big woop de do. Anyone too slow witted to fail to claim the ho comment was part of the lyrics for his new rap CD doesnt need to be on the radio (or TV).

Stupid comment. I remember the incident, but have never lived in the United States.

          It was in the news.

The ordinary news, that is, not Stormfront! news.

In Malcolm X it certainly was.

However, San Bushmen of southern Africa have lighter hair too.

                  Neither.

Yours was a stupid comment- I was expecting you to be able to understand that one could remember the consequent furore over a case without having had to be present in the country where the incident occurred.

It made the news internationally, after all.

Is English your second language ?

You can attend English literacy classes you know. With other immigrants to the United States.

Don't make assumptions. I didn't say exactly how long before I moved that this occurred. For all you know I could have been a day old at the time, which would explain why I wouldn't have a memory of it. Read more carefully next time, and try to control your urge to insult anonymous internet users.

Thank you. From what I understand, the term could also be used to descibe non-blacks as well (?). Like Art Garfunkel?

I think "nappy" is used to describe the natural frizzyness of black people's hair.

Of course it can be used to describe nonblacks. Just like
niggardly can be used to describe blacks or nonblacks.

I was just bringing this point up because, to me, calling the team a bunch of hos seems worse to me than the phrase "nappy-headed". But then I had never even heard of nappy used in that way before this controversy.
