    not toads, either.

You can view it either way. At least one Orthodox rabbi suggests that vegetarianism is the highest form of kashrut, so presumably he reads it as respect. Thats the way I like to look at it

    • What do you think of the old Shaloman "Super Jew" comics?

I never heard of them till you posted.

I wonder if that site renamed them, or if theyre actually that old, since the term intifadah wasnt used before 1987 IIUC.

I think you've missed the ironic insight that a good troll provides.

Al Wiesner has been writing, illustrating, and distributing Shaloman comic books since 1988.

They've obviously been done in a retro style.

Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

yes. Sarcasm and irony have their place, but they cant do everything.

Between sarcasm and sincerity there is room for non committed observations. All the more that the alleged sincerity does not add any value to an argument.

Im not sure what the distinction youre making is. Sincerity, in the context of a discussion, does not necessarily imply "engage" in English, at least to me. It simply means you believe what you are saying.

As you cannot verify if I really believe what I am saying, my declaration that I am sincere does not give more value to my argument. And I don’t see what kind of argument, particularly in a discussion between posters, could be modified by a declared or supposed sincerity.
