Marois, Duceppe, and Landry will be interested in the job, now that Boisclair is gone.

I don't see the rise of the ADQ as a good thing at all. What happened after the '95 referendum is that the separatists were depicted as racists in the anglophone media. They tried with all their strength to show the opposite image - and ironically that effort has resulted in the conservative, traditionally nationalist 'regions' perceiving the PQ as a pinko-leftist montrealist cabal.
Dumont's base is probably the most racist of all three parties, but since he's not a separatist, we can expect the National Post to be silent on the issue.

A truly wonderful thing would have been an ADQ minority - since their deputation consists of incompetent Steinberg managers, they would have been discredited quickly, and forever. Now they'll enter the next election with money and, in all likeliness, experienced candidates. ****.

Because Parizeau claimed that we lost due to money and ethnic vote?

That was factually true, it just didn't follow aseptized political speech. When you know the man - his cursus, his political action, the ideas he expressed in his articles - it's obvious he didn't mean it in a racist way.

The problem goes far deeper than Parizeau. He was just a symptom.

Arguing the Quebec separatist movement isn't racist is like arguing the sun will rise in the west tomorrow. Do you really want to go there?

I'm actually interested in your arguments. I've heard many posturing on this issue, but I have yet to read substance, so please provide

I'll be eagerly waiting for you, Wezzie. But since you don't even read French, I doubt of your ability to put forth any substanciated claim.

Let me guess - you'll invoke Bill 101?

You do know, Wezil, that the separatist movement, in its roots, has been instigated by socialist intellectuals? That our first pioneers entertained relations with the Black Panthers, African decolonization movements, etc?

Well, at least it shows that they weren't racist towards brown people. Good luck trying to find suprematist French-Canadian literature targetting the English.
