Why has CivFanatics overtaken Apolyton in members?

Seems the Negative reaction on CFC is quite a bit higher then I though, most people complain about the ugly look of Poly forums. And theirs more 'fear' that its true. Poly reaction is much more positive with no one yet believing its true.

The reason is that most of the posters at CFC are tools.

Or that Poly indeed has an ugly look . If the plan was to keep the layout of Apolyton at CivJunction, I'd scream like hell against the merger.

I wonder how it would work though. I mean, honestly, CFC is filled with far more "dedicated" civ players than this site at this point. If I want to find cool new units or scenerios being made I go there, not to Poly.

Poly has greater depth but CFC is trully more dedicated. I can see why CFC people would be angrier about the merger than more laid back Poly.

Definitely one of the reasons why the merger is good. As shown in this thread before, Poly is in need of more good Civ-related stuff. At the same time, CFC benefits from having the many in-depth posters that we have here. So it should be the ultimate site indeed.

the skin is much better
the modding community is much better
