As to me, I haven't gone swimming in the last 10 days
Ooops. Well, sometimes it rains real heavy and I have to walk through puddles.

Yeah - have you been eating enough wholefoods in order to gain muscle though? It's quite possible you haven't gained muscle but merely uncovered them.

I have been working out at the gym.

20 minutes on the stair stepper. so far only once a week. . I'm trying to get that twice a week. I want to work out 4 days a week. 2 days would be stair stepper (part of my lower body workout).

So far though, I mainly concentrating on upper body. I'm tired of having small arms. . I so desperately want big arms (and shoulders and chest for that matter). So far I have been doing lower reps. 10 to 15. 3 sets each. I have been using the machines as I tend to hurt my shoulder using free weights. I used to work out at home using dumbells, but I would always hurt my right shoulder. So I use machines to do arm curles, tricep presses, chest presses, shoulder presses, the rowing thing machine (for the upper back), another machine for lower back, the swing thingy machine for the chest. For legs I have been doing the stair stepper, leg press, standing calf, and leg curls. I also do abominal during my lower body. I do this one machine for abs, along with standard crunches (using the bench thingy)

You should try to do some of the exercises that uses a lot of muscle groups, like squats, deadlifts, military shoulder press and if you want to gain muscles on your shoulders/chest bench press. Just start out with small weights (or just the bar, the bar weights 45 lbs) high reps and go from there. At first concentrate on getting the form right since then you minimize hurting yourself later when you are lifting heavier weights.

Also remember that stretching is very very important and you should always stretch muscles that you use straight away after using them. That gives the muscles space to grow.

Anyway only trying to be a little help, good luck with your workout

Strtetching is way over-rated but I completely agree with the major lifts. You need to be hitting core muscle groups, so even if you just do three sets of presses, three sets of rows, and three sets of squats you're far better off than when you're wasting your time with handles and pulleys and tinkering around the dges.
