Keep lifting heavy weights, higher reps are only good for increase total amount of calories burned. This really isn't the best forum for this, you should check out bodybuilding.com/forum. Though somehow I have a feeling you already know about that.

Just add some cardio to your routine. It's not hard, you fat bastard.

You have to eat well while you build up your mucsles. After you build up your muscles you change your diet to trip the fat. I'm not sure about the exact diet to eat, but it's all in the diet.

If you're a hard gainer, cardio is too catabolic.

Then again, if you're a hard gainer, you would be naturally cut, and wouldn't need to ask this question.

FWIW, I maintain very low bodyfat without cardio, but I'm pretty intense with my lifting (which keeps my heart rate elevated for 75 minutes). My twice-weekly monster deadlift dropset leaves me gasping for breath.

I've been doing a good bit of swimming recently - my intent is more to lose fat - I tend to be very stockily built as it is so building muscle is of no interest to me - I am not interested in that narcissistic crap...

Why would walking make you lose muscle?

                  You get some wonderful thigs!

Low reps high weight builds strength
High reps low weight builds muscle mass.

Do both, that is, alternate weekly.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

I walk at least that every evening just on my way back from work.

Err, I think he referred to swimming.

As to me, I haven't gone swimming in the last 10 days
