The sale was quite legitimate and done in a fair manner - seems like a lot of years have elapsed since the sale was agreed so there has been plenty of time to resolve this problem. Surely the council may be able to find them alternative premises which are maybe not on quite such a slab of real estate. Besides, what do they want with such a slab of real estate anyway?

I do worry how these Christian organisations get such huge amounts of money (well I do know how, brainwash and taking life savings of their members - which is a different argument entirely and should be clamped down on).

Firstly, this is news footage, probably shown under the headline "riots in denmark!!@#" obviously the footage that is shown is going to be chosen with that in mind. The police come to protests with their own cameras to film incriminating actions and will confiscate/destroy the cameras of protestors so that they can control what is seen from the incident.

That said, the footage does show the police gasing the entire crowd of protestors. The police come to this armoued and armed for a fight. Riot cops are not innocent bystanders, they are people who are trained in brutality and are there for the purpose of supressing revolt. And bringing a ****ing anti-terrorist squad in? The protestors are not the sole perpatrors of violence here.

Infact, if you want to analyze the situation the first act of violence was the act of eviction - where people are told to leave a place, or be removed. This whole incident reveals the way our society is structured around hierarchal violence where violence perpatrated by above is accepted and common place, while violence from those lower on the hierarchy is scandalous - and even terrorism.
