Well, current damage report is the following as far as I can tell :

one serious inured - lost three fingers when firecracker exploded prematurely.

Serious head injury when hit by cobblestone in his backhead.

Officer got minor burns from one of the fires.

    3-5 have got minor bruices.

More than 500 have been arrested.

Yup, no doubt, the police certainly lost their temper.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

            • Kidicious I really have problems understanding why you feel the need to defend these people.

Do you truly, honestly think it is ok for them to react the way they are doing? Holding innocent people (read: the people of Copenhagen) hostage in a case that really is about their own shortcomings?

And if you do, then please explain why

Im not sure what Baruk Khazad is , but if they speak Judeo-Dwarvish, that would be "blessed are the dwarves" - lord of the mark

Just please explain the connection to current riots in copenhagen.

                • They had to move, because the city was dumping them like the crap they are?

Cant' AFFORD? 0 euros a month is the normal price? They lost a club house they weren't paying a cent for anyway. That's not exactly being chased away from a city now is it?

Is that the only message? So this is the political message?

There is footage of protesters being beaten like that if you look for it. I don't know how to post videos.

My original intent to participate in the discussion was to point out that there is politics involved here. A lot of people here at Poly are very naive about why things happen.

Don't act stupid Pekka. There are many people who are being charged more money than they can afford and they are working. Perhaps they don't want to pay rent out of principle.

                        • Too bad. They might want to look at areas that are more suitable for their income.

You're being obtuse. They want to live there.

                            • So? They prolly still do. Or did all the few thousand people live in that building? No.

Now who is being naive? I want to live in a mansion as well. Maybe I should go throw some rocks at some nice neighbourhoods and invade a house?

Just post links to the sites that have the vids. That really can't be complicated.

I'm actually quite curious to see them because I have seen several hours of footage without a second of unnessecary beating. Belive me, the telly comapnies and the newspapers would have put it on main pages if the had any such kind, and they strangely doesn't have.
