Even as an ol timer and fan, but not a fanatic, I think Matt Damon could make a good CK. Sinise will probably be an excellent Bones. Not sure about Brody though. But any excuse to see a more modern version will be appreciated.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Hmm. I wonder if, eventually, Paramount is going to try and "reboot" TOS? As for the upcoming movie ... well, I question using "big name" actors, particularly if Paramount is looking to, at some point, do a TV series set in the TOS era.

IMO, if Paramount were smart, they'd set the next Star Trek movie a few decades (at the very least) after Voyager's return to the Alpha Quadrant. The movie could then be used as a "launching point" for a new ST series.
Setting the movie in TOS era ... hmm, well, let's just say I'm not convinced it's going to work.
