But in a second grade classroom, the problem child -- either the one who creates problems, or too-obviously has problems -- takes up all the energy available.
There is that, too, yeah. Of course, you can't ignore the problem child. You could perhaps put the problem children in SPED classes, but hardly anybody wants to teach SPED, for good reason. My sister has for years (up in Toronto) and it's just a wee bit stressful (she had a mixture of learning disabled and "behavioral" kids).

No you're wrong. There's something you aren't telling us about these schools. The better school gets to be more selective about their students. There's not really that much difference among teachers. All teachers will give up if their stundents don't give a **** or are too dumb to learn the material. That's only natural. Give a teacher good students and they will perform well.

It's a good thing you quit teaching, Kid.

Well most teacher think like I do, and you probably won't get it, but it's just the facts. A lot of teachers told me to quit and I did. Teachers get all the blame and most of them to a really good job. I hate Steve Jobs now. He's an idiot and I can't see teachers buying Apples anymore.

I'd have told you to quit too. You weren't doing either yourself or the students any good with your attitude.

Considering that teachers are the only group that I know of that mostly buys Apples (I am sure there are other groups, I don't know them though), this could be a bad thing for Apple.

You know what DD that ****ing students were stupid and didn't want to learn. I couldn't change that and no one else could either. It's not like rebuilding a ****ing care or something. The ****ing students have something to do with it. Don't be an idiot.

That sounds like a cop-out to me and a reason people tell themselves in order to feel better about not doing their jobs.

I did my job. You have no idea what you are talking about. Teachers can do thier jobs even if no students learn. Think about it.

Yep, we had 3 teachers (2 male, 1 female) who either quit (or were forced to quit) for psychological reasons, or were forced to teach only the lower grades as they didn´t get on well with the older pupils.

And this was 15 years ago on a gymnasium.
I assume that the stress for a teacher today, especially on a Hauptschule is much higher. Especially considereing the stories you can read about things like weapins and violence in the classroom.

No he insulted them, because he's a dumb ass who doesn't bother to see the real problem.

I might not, but it's becoming apparent from your attitude and comments in this thread alone that you sucked as a teacher.

It's ok, being a good teacher is a lot harder than inexperienced kids like Kuci presume. I'm sure there are plenty of jobs where you can be good at and earn your living.

That's because it is. It's not a matter of perception, but the simple fact that the ROI for society is higher for other jobs that require tertiary education than for teachers.
