I have tried to explain the group-think on Israel and anti-Westernism of most Muslims above. This does not make Muslims terrorists. But it raises suspicions that any Muslim is anti-Israel and anti-Western culture and is supportive of OBL's goals if not his methods.
Now I certainly would not want to elect, as president of the United States, someone who is symphathetic to OBL's goals. But that is the intended message when Barack's opponents raise the issue of his name and his father.
