Tips sought on coping with middle age

Any tips on coping with quarter life crisis?

All good advice but I should have mentioned - I've been staying with my parents for the past two weeks - a chance for them to see the grandchildren. My wife bugged out to visit her folks last week.

I think this is more a mid-parents visit crisis. Its like everything is stripped away and you're a kid again. The house looks like a bomb hit it, useless junk crammed everywhere, the food is the same, my father has had a very bad back. His mother is slipping. I have to be careful all the time not to discuss politics. Its tense and not my idea of a holiday but my kids love it so I'm making do.
