I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

I mainly need to figure out a way to string out my employment until the 5 year old is educated
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

Why is that an issue (to "string it out")?

You're 43. It's over. Give up hope and wait for death.

It's a space rpg, one of those "massive" kinds. Apparently it's pretty good.

They have some sort of league/guild/corporation/whathaveyou in the games forum at Counterglow.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Bored? I felt like that at 43 - so I quit my job and moved to another country. Easy for me as I don't have offspring to pay for.

As you are stuck with paying for the inheritors of your genes the only answer I can give is that you need to do interesting things outside work (assuming you can't change your job for one that pays enough and is more challenging).

I also am 43 and sometimes feel in crisis, so I play more games and spend more "quality time" with m'lady
I am on a mission to see how much coffee it takes to actually achieve time travel.

go down to your local Games Workshop and pick up the hobby.
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

I hit 40 this year and one of the tough things to come to terms with is 'where did all the energy go?'. Many of the younger posters on here, for example, remind me of my own youth - full of ideas, enthusiasm, ideals, arrogance, self-belief, optimism, confidence and dynamism. When you're young you feel free to try things and take risks because there's so much time ahead to change course.

These days I feel that my realistic aspirations extend little further than survival - especially with the cost of living in my country escalating with the housing crisis, and always more taxes, more laws, less freedoms, and a social paradigm that seems to crush spirit rather than nurture it.

Sorry Horse - no tips, just empathy.
