Has anyone here actually had a blowjob at the age of 15? Secondly, he was just one of the kids involved, he didn't record the tape, and the tape did not just have him on it, but the only one recorded getting a bj from the 15 year old girl was him.

The tape was found in the room after the party along with the video camera.

What is interesting is that the police acted on the complaint not of the 15 year old girl but on the 17 year old girl. She accused the boys of rape, which got the police involved, and it is only when the police got involved that they charged Wilson and the other boys, with everything that they saw on the tape.

There is at least two problems. First, I don't see how the police could charge him based on evidence that was obtained for something else. There was no complaint by the 15 year old and the tape could be forged or altered.

In the trial, the tape cleared all the boys of rape, but confirmed the bj by the 15 year old girl. It is strange how sex can be determined as consensual, but the bj cannot.

With all the facts this case has been a mess from the start. It was filed on false charges, never should have seen the light of day in the first place.

This case made its way to the court because a group of Douglasville teens rented two hotel rooms for a New Year’s Eve party on December 31, 2003. The party attendees consisted of teenage boys and girls, including Petitioner. The morning after the party, a seventeen year old female complained to her mother that she thought she had been raped. The police were contacted and went to the Days Inn Hotel to search the party scene.

At the party scene, the police found a video camera and a tape of several of the teens having sex with the 17 year old and receiving oral sex from the 15 year old. After viewing the tape, the police arrested six young men, including Petitioner, for rape of the 17 year old and aggravated child molestation of the 15 year old.

Although the tape, made part of the record and played for the jury, is disturbing (as any incident of group sexual acts by teens would be), a jury viewed the entire tape and those jurors, the finders of fact in this case, determined that no rape took place and acquitted Petitioner of rape. This entire tape was played multiple times in open court for the jury. The segment containing the sex act with the seventeen year old (not at issue in this appeal) was played for the Court of Appeals at oral argument. Petitioner wants to be clear that the only conclusion as to what happened with the 17 year old was for the jury to make and was in fact made by the jury and that the opinion of the police or District Attorney that prosecuted the case cannot be substituted for the determination made by that jury. Petitioner is therefore only before this court for the sex act with the 15 year old which is clear from the tape, police reports and evidence to be the voluntary act by the 15 year old of placing her mouth on his private part. No force or any proof of any action against her will was established.

In the ABC interview, this is what came up.

A: The other young men took plea deals rather than go to trial. They received sentences from two to six years in prison.

Genarlow was offered five years in prison to plead to child molestation and required to register as a sexual offender.

As he said in the show, he is not a child molester and sexual offender registration will condemn him far longer than the 10 years in prison, since it is for a lifetime of being labeled a "child molester." He just believed it was wrong, and on top of that, five years in prison for a consensual act did not seem reasonable.

So not only was the case messed up but the prosecutor offered a 5 year prison deal by branding all the kids a child molestor and sexual offender rather then serve the full time.

This case is totally messed up. The prosecutor could have had the kids plead down to a much lesser charge, but instead got all these kids branded as child molestors.

Yes. Well it wasn't a proper one, but I didn't know better then. Two days before I turned 16. Plus, girls are in more advanced level than boys at that age, mentally.

Don't know about you but Europe isn't... following the teachings of 'let's stay virgins forever', and think it's a bad thing when young people have sex. It's natural.

But this has its advantages, first of all people aren't so weird about their own body or sexuality, parents are more .. for example, most people who do have sex at, say, 16, do it with the knowledge of their parents. In fact, in most cases, when two people are dating, they do go and sleep in the same bed (and have sex) in the house of their parents, and everyone knows it. It's perfectly OK, if you are dating.

SO, the benefits? Well, first of all, it's safer, since you're not out there somewhere, condom usage is pretty heavy, plus parents know where you are... it's comfortable and safe basically.

This is very common place. And other benefits are having less of those weird thoughts about sex, like staying virgin forever but taking it in the ass, because if you stay virgin behind door #1, you are still 'technically' virgin.. and other weird stuff like that, usually mormons do this. Or was it the amish, what ever, it was one of them 'religious' groups.

Well Pekka, no one here has any doubts that you do not follow the normal teachings . I read in the news all the time, though, about 16-17 year olds being pregnant and their families finding it out when it's, uhm, no longer really possible to hide. Maybe Finland is the good place where everyone knows who's having sex with whom and when .

DanS, Right.. but it definitely depends on the boyfriend or girlfriend. At that point, they are supposed to greet the parents adn stuff like that. It's considered rude to sneak in for sex.

Plus, obviously, the parents sets the rules. Usually the guy goes over to the girl at first, too. It's like, if they accept you being there and spending nights (which means sex), then it's OK. But if they say you can't spend the night, it means you can't have sex in there so you must go to your place.
