Wouldn't calling people names also lead to 'emotional hurt', Dis?

Typical ultra-orthodox behaviour. This should be about the best to expect from them anyway.

This is not a synagogue. I am not going to sit in the back.
Is she implying that in a synagogue woeman must sit in the back, I ofcorse have no idea as I dont even attended christian churches outside of funerals and marragies. Perhaps only the ulta-Orthodox enforce these kinds of rules? If its universal thats certianly a strong message of second class-ness right at the heart of Israli society.

From my experience its not at all typical. I know many ultraorthodox Jews, and I DO expect more from them, at least from most of them.

Yay freedom of speech. Of course you are allowed, and I am allowed to state that youre overreacting, over focusing on this incident.

In Orthodox Synagogues men and women sit seperately. In Modern Orthodox synagogues, much care is given to making sure its "Seperate but equal" (more or less) with side by side sections. In ultra-O synagogues typically they squeeze the womens section in wherever they can, and its not at all uncommon for it to be in the back.

In Conservative and Reform Synagogues men and women sit together. Israeli society tolerates and respects all these forms of worship, as well as non-Jewish worship, whether gender integrated Christian worship or gender segregated Muslim worship, as well as the right (taken advantage of by huge numbers of Israelis) not to worship at all.

actually hassidi and many other Haredim ARENT generally interested in doing things to the Pals. Many of them dont even consider themselves Zionists. A few of them showed up in Teheran the other day, making nice-nice with Ahmadinajad.

But thanks for again displaying your ignorance.

Poor show by the fundy wingnuts, but it's roughly in line with what I expect.
