      So did the Taliban.

they do have issues with impurity. But not involving ham, you just cant EAT ham, youre allowed to touch it (for example theres no problem playing football with a ball made of pigskin).

Presumably is she had said she was a niddah, they shouldnt have touched her. Of course they shouldnt have touched a woman other than their wife anyway - major no-no to them. But then so is the act of violence. Plus the chillul hashem aspect. So they were in violation of at least three provisions of Jewish law, off the top of my head, and im sure a scholar could find more.

Are there any homosexual-only bus lines in Israel?

            And why not?

Can the homosexuals gangbang an Orthodox Jew for not vacating the premises of an informal homo-bus?

Probably cause theres no demand, and thus no reason for a Market Socialist bus company (or a private company like Dan) to start one. You might explore the market opportunity though - with your supreme business sense, if anyone could make a go of it, im sure you could.

ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) -- Police in a Turkish resort banned a group of gay tourists, many from the United States, from visiting the ancient ruins of Ephesus, the tourists said Thursday.

The 800 tourists, who also came from the Netherlands and Britain, arrived in the Aegean port of Kusadasi aboard the cruise liner Olympic Voyager on Wednesday as part of a gay-oriented seven-day tour with stops in Egypt, Israel and Greece.

After authorizing most tourists to leave the port, local police blocked the last two buses, apparently after realizing that the passengers were all gay, passengers and crew members said. "

So what would have happened if an American non-Jewish tourist had been riding this bus? Touring Israel is fairly popular in some Christian groups.

                    1. I doubt theyd have been coming that way. AFAICT this woman was modern O, and had reason to be staying on the more O side of town, and heading to the Wall.

                    2. If she had ridden, I presume shed have thought it was quaint, backward, local custom, and complied. This woman seems to be a Jewish feminist with a point to make (BTW that in NO WAY implies she was wrong for making the point, or her alleged attackers were in any way justified)

                    3. If she hadnt complied, i assume the same thing would have happened (whatever that was, which is still disputed) Could have been a profoundly horrible incident, an even worse chillul hashem. Thank G-d it was a Jew.

The Taliban were brutal and misogynistic...and that is their 'unique culture'. See any parallels?

Not very many - women under the Taliban had no choice but to ride on segregated buses.

I'm of the belief that any individual or business is free to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't hurt an individual. And in this case, it is hurting people.

In this case, the business wasn't hurting people. Some nutjob patrons were. And there are laws that deal with transgressions like these.
