          That is true. But in socialism, everyone have short & miserable life...

          My dear, I think I will translate Un-Divine comedy into english... and arabic perhaps... it's an important XIX century book by count Krasinski, one of three main polish romantic writers, about revolution. It is beautiful (perhaps a bit antisemitic as well). it starts like this:

          To the mistakes gathered by their ancestors they have added what their ancestors did not know - hesitation and fear; - and so it became, that they disappeared from the face of the earth and a great silence was left after them

          Nameless

          To be or not to be – that is the question

          Hamlet

          PART ONE

          Stars around your head – sea-waves under your feet – rainbow scurries over the sea-waves and divides the fogs – whatever you see, is yours – shores, cities, people belong to you – the sky is yours – and it seems nothing can compare to your glory

          +++

          You play unbelievable delights to other’s ears – you plait hearts and undo them as a wreath, a play in your hands – you stress out the tears – you dry them with a smile and again throw down the smile from your lips for a moment – a couple of moments – sometimes forever. – But what do you feel, yourself? – but what do you create, on your own? – what do you think? – A stream of beauty flows through you, but you are not beauty – Woe to you - woe! – A child crying on the laps of its nanny – a field flower, not knowing about its scents, has more merits in the eyes of the Lord than you do

          +++

          Where did you come from, miserable shadow, which indicate the light, but you do not know light, haven’t seen it, and will not? – Who created you in anger or in irony? – Who gave you life so vile, so deceitful, that you can pretend to be an angel for a while, before You flounder into mud, until as an amphibian you begin to crawl and suffocate with the slime? – You and the woman have one beginning

          +++

          But you too suffer, though your hurt will not create anything, is of no use. – A moan of the poorest beggar is counted among tones of angels’ harps. – Your despairs and sighs fall down, Satan collects and happily adds them to his lies and illusions – and Lord will once deny them, as they have denied the Lord.
          And so on.
          But it’s introduction, the entire work is mostly a drama

            Heresson, will Poland be returning Prussia to Germany? I mean if Poland expects property to be returned from Lithuania it would only be fair, yes?

              I expect Lithuania to return property to LITHUANIAN CITIZENS of polish nationality... despite post-ww2 deportations, there are a couple of districts in which Poles remain a majority. In these districts somehow the grounds are not being returned to the owners.

                      I'm afraid of Byelorus behind our back. Byelorus was at USSR boarder, on the trait from Moscow, so it inherited giant military. It has bigger army than Poland in every way... moreover, for obvious reasons, both Byelorus and Poland has definite most of its army on western boarders. This is good in case we're going to invade Germany and Denmark, as it was assigned to us in communist times, but bad when it comes to having a conflict to Byelorus right now. They can take Warsaw in 2 hours probably. All our hope is that, especially in the west, our roads are so ****ty they will not be able to get through...

                                Id suggest that you note A. That economic development in poorer countries accelerated during the 90s (Latin America going in the other direction, however). B. The assault on trade unionism and the welfare state in the USA began when the USSR appeared MORE threatening. C. The dominance of trade unionism in the USA, during the 1950s, had less to do with the Soviet threat, than with the US dominance of world markets. Thats why it came under attack when said dominance was challenged. D. The welfare state in europe had roots going back well before 1917. Google "Lloyd George" or "Bismarck".
