Wasting taxpayer money is not how you raise your kid.
Maybe this is a cultural disconnect. In Canada we have what is called "social responsibility". In America, the common theme seems to be "not my problem!".
Getting your kid arrested and charged for opening a gift early is just stupid. There's a reason this kid is acting out, and if the mother had any idea what she was doing, she'd be finding out why. He's clearly got a lot of aggression, and if I had parents who did **** like this, I'd be acting out, too.
