Is the PS3 Poised to Obliterate the Xbox 360?

Given the astounding release of the PS3 this fall and the fact that the Xbox 360 is just old news, is there any question that the PS3 will dominate the console market? The PS3 has every advantage going for it. It's a steal at $599. I've heard of some going for as much as $5000 on eBay. And speaking of stealing, some people have been so desperate to get one, they've risked their very lives to steal them.

Let's not forget the system itself. It will be sporting some of the most amazing graphics every to grace our TVs. And the number of games is so great that I can't even think of one off the top of my head. That's a lot. Then there's the fact that the PS3 system will come with BluRay capabilities. BluRay is the next generation of digital media that is sweeping the world by storm. With it incorporated in the PS3, there's no reason not to get one.

And even if some naysayers have complaints, it doesn't change the fact that the PS3 is the PS3. I mean, come on, it's a PS3. You just can't beat that. So the Wii can be flushed down the toilet like all good wee. And the Xwhat? Who cares? The PS3's in town and the town's a rockin' for it.

IMO, XBox has a good market share already, the Wii seems to be doing good due to PS3's lack of availability. So... who knows.

I don't have time to even think about PS3s and Wiis (stupid name).

It would be interesting if that was all Sony. YOu know, upping the ante, making few user accouns on Ebay and just raising itself all the way up to what ever it is, just to give an extra buzz and somehow 'raise the value' of the console.

Just because it sold that expensive doesn't prove anything, except that some people are stupid and have way too much money and sony up their ass.

Sony chose not to make more or just ran into the usual product launch logistical headaches?

This is to say, some dumbass wanted like the first PSP3, as in a collectors item.

Has nothing to do with the value of that console, as in components, circuit boards, case, cables etc.
