Well, I found I can file the unlawful detainer case online which at least saves me driving downtown to the courthouse during business hours. The bad news is I have the paper copies of the lease and pay or quit notice at my dad's house so I'll have to wait until I get home to file the case. I'll also have to get the marshall to hand deliver the summons which will again cost money up front but in the end I will win the case so I can stick James with all of these costs. I will also push to get the $500 for breach of contract and when he doesn't pay the findings I will again sue him to make sure his wages get garnished.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.Comment

The court case is now filed and my father will be at my house when dirtbag comes home tonight so that he can be served the summons in front of witnesses. In both of the other two eviction cases this guy has had before he made bogus claims about having paid the rent and never being served notice but in both of those cases the judge didn't believe this liar. Now, if I wanted to be a real dick to him (and the truth is I do) then I will ask the judge to sieze his car so it can be sold at auction.
