The best Bond film is Goldfinger. "I shuposhe you ekshpect me to talk." "Noho, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!"
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

When I first saw the still shots of Daniel Craig, I was not impressed. Where was the famous black hair of Bond, hanging like a comma over his forehead? WTF is the hair color of Craig, anyway? And worst of all, he looked boring.
But then I saw a short clip from the movie. Craig moves dangerously. He has the ambience of "threat" not seen since Connery.
Next weekend. Definately, I will see Casino Royale next weekend. (It has to be better than the David Niven/Woody Allen fiasco.)

No good Bond without a good "bad guy" - how did Mads Mikkelsen perform as Le Chiffre ?With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

The truth is, there were annoying product placements, and it was a bit too long. But it seems to me there are three kinds of Bond films:
True Bond films: From Russia with Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Thunderball, and now Casino Royale (true in the sense that they are true to the spirit of the books)
Fun Bond films: all the other Connery films (including Never Say Never Again), plus Live and Let Die
Cartoon Bond films: everything else
For me, that's a rank order, but that's just a personal preference; I can easily understand someone preferring the Fun Bonds (which I also love) to the True Bonds, in which case you'll be less impressed by this movie. But I'd go so far as to say that this film comes close to doing for the Bond franchise what Frank Miller did for Batman -- and that's way, way more than I ever expected."I have as much authority as the pope. I just don't have as many people who believe it." — George Carlin

He was good, but not great. Still, since this is a movie establishing Bond's character, the villain is somewhat less important. As compensation, though, it's got the first three-dimensional Bond girl.
Edit : Dammit, forgot : are you saying that she acts like she has a brain and can act independent ?With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
