Halle is a slut and should only be in movies starring Britney Spears or Pamela Anderson.
Anyway, about the movie, I don't know much about Bond, I'm not a egotistical kind of guy and all that alpha male crap doesn't amaze me; but otherwise, I found the movie to be very good, had a lot of that 60's look to it occasionally. I especially liked the way they "introduced" him as the real Bond, this is just his beginning, and I can see why now there are no gadgets - he's not ready yet.
There will be many more Bond movies starring this guy and I expect them to get better as HIS story unfolds.

Casino Royal is the original Bond story, and this movie is going back to the time when James Bond just became a double-0 agent, so it is like "Batman Begins" in that regard.Originally posted by Kuciwalker

IMDB seems to agree:
Casino Royale introduces James Bond before he holds his license to kill. But Bond is no less dangerous, and with two professional assassinations in quick succession, he is elevated to '00' status.
