Canada chooses not to build fighter jets as we don't need to.

When we did need to, we could and did build the best.

I'm pretty sure Bombardier could figure out how to make a nice fighter jet today if they had to, and certainly do better than the European mess that did the Eurofighter.

Nah, you have no idea of it But yeah I was wrong, the CF 18s aren't license-built, they are still US-built. Proof that Canada can't build modern fighter jets at all
