But, cmon, it sucks major ass.

The only game I will watch all year is the Grey Cup, because the Als tend to be in it lately. And even then, I dont watch unless the score is close.

Anything else on TV > CFL
Not so true if you follow grid iron.

    CFL > NFL.

    • And since when has Asher admitted that Toronto is the bell weather?

Since you've got 5 million people in a small area and it's hard to fill up 20,000 seats for a game that Edmontons think is the best thing that's ever happened to them, while other people get to live in a nice city.

How are the Eskies doing in the playoffs this year anyway.

      FAILURE.

      That is all.

        That is patently false sir.

        • The most miraculous thing about Edmonton is no matter what the discussion is about -- the economy, architecture, people, schools -- it always comes down to Edmontonians talking about how in the 80s their hockey team didn't suck, and hey -- in a league with a couple teams of NFL washouts we do pretty well.

How pathetic is that, truly? Have you nothing else in your city to be proud of than past victories in marginal games by sub-marginal players?

Thanks for bringing up the longest running streak in North American pro sports (maybe history, but I'm not sure).

34 years in a row in the play offs.

              You winner!

I'm sitting here looking at CFL standings, and it says Edmonton failed to qualify.

                  This is an achievement, how?

Bragging about CFL championships when there's about two teams in the league is about as meaningful as Leafs fans bragging about their championships back in the 1950s when there were a handful of hockey teams. And just as pathetic. A team of drunkards dressed up in football uniforms can stumble their way into the CFL playoffs, but Edmonton failed to make it. Why is that?

You'd have to be a Yankee to prefer that small field, 4 strikes yer out, run it for 2 downs... game, sir.

Years without a championship don't count as a streak?

                        Then call me a Yankee

I dislike a football game where every play is a passing play.

I mean, does the running game mean anything in the CFL?

Is that why Edmonton has won the Cup more times than Calgary has played for it?

                            Yes, it does.

Last Esks game I watched a RB got 196 rushing yards.

I think I was talking about good streaks. Ones that fans want to remember.

That is true of the NHL as well as the CFL, btw.
