cool(ironic), another sensitive language debate in perspective!

I do not see nothing wrong with renaming Du Parc( The Park) by an ex prime minister of the province of Quebec.

Since, the residents of the streets seems to not care so much...

      Edit:
Maybe a better idea is something like this:

I've came across of a picture of a street of Boston, in the La Presse newspaper. The official name of the street was kept the same,(ex: Du Parc) but it was wrote below; In Honor of Robert Bourassa.(or something like this)

Actually, the residents of the street are amongst the most pissed off.

You know how many businesses are on that road that have to change their signs and business names, or look silly?

We'll see... the opposition (I live in Quebec city) seems not to came from the residents, but came mainly from the business.

There seems to be some mild outrage among students too, though obviously many have probably not lived here long enough to care.

Apparently Av. du Parc has been called that for well over 100 years. Opponents of the move have suggested that a street that actually has some sort of connection to Robert Bourassa (like the street he grew up on) be named in his honor instead.

The only good thing Bourassa ever did was James Bay. Other than that he was about as cynical a politician as you can get. He'd have been right at home in Louisiana.

Depends where, you have Mcgill college, then it stops near Rene-levesque, then starts again after St-Antoine as Mcgill only.

                              a) It stops at Cathcart, not Rene Levesque. It runs straight into the north side of PVM.

                              b) The street that's below St Antoine is called "Rue Mcgill", not McGill Ave

                              c) The address he gave doesn't exist on Rue McGill. The mid 1000s on north-south roads are at or above Ste-Catherine
