This site, which lists OOBS for 1812 battles, and lists LOTS of Canadian involvement in general, shows only British units (on the invading side) at Bladensburg.

How many Canadians were there?

I mean its odd, when discussing the battle of the Atlantic, say, or the Canadian support for the Americans during the Am Rev y'all are quite insistent that numbers matter.

I was under the impression that there was a mixed force, but it's possible that I'm incorrect. The last time I read anything on 1812 was 2-3 years ago.

Incidently, any Canadian interested in a military career at the time would have been in the British army or navy. There was no seperate Canadian army. The British army was 'our' army.

As late as 1914 most Canadians considered themselves to be British. They were part of the 'us' that led to now. So when 'they' caused your grand house to need a coat of white wash, that was 'us', especially when 'you' attacked 'us' and 'we' kicked your asses back across the border.
