You forget about the abbott Arnaud - Armond (sp) the man who coined my sig. He was the first inquisitor, having won the title for his role in the extermination of the Albigensians in southern France. It is thought that between 250,000 to 1,000,000 Frenchmen died during that crusade. Then there was the massacre of the Hugenots, another half million killed for the glory of the Roman church.

Note that i said "in general" and that i was not speaking about "catholicism vs protestantism" since i included Poland (Lithuania too) among the most fervent Sorceresses' burners.

About he Hugonotes massacre it had nothing to do with any inquisition but with French Religious Wars, being involved even the heir for the throne of France.
