The issue isn't him being some sick **** who is attracted to the wrong people. It is that he was in a position of authority.. etc.
There is no question that people start being attractive in their mid teens. However, maturity isn't there, and so we limit consent to either 16 or 18 (generally 18).
It shows that someone is taking advantage and a predator if they are going after teenagers when they are older. This is far cry different than ****ing 8 year olds. Now, I don't know if the laws reflect this difference. One is akin to a boss having sex with a worker, or a guy having sex with a really drunk chick. It is some degree of rape.. but what degree is to be determined... (and some people don't think that having sex with a drunk chick is rape.. etc)
Having sex with kids on the other hand can't be anything other than completely ****ed up.
