    The Banglatown International Curry Festival 2006 launched on September 10th with a record 60,000 visitors. Diners ate al-fresco and ordered food from the many street stalls while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

    The winner of this year’s Curry Competition was Subuj Bangla restaurant with the Bengali fish dish Hilis Masala. Muhib restaurant came second and Café Bangla third. Clifton restaurant also received a special mention. The five judges were led by London Assembly Member for City and East John Biggs.
