I think Washington is really underrated, but that's still not very impressive for USC at home.

edit: Quick look at the stats indicates that it's been a pretty even match. USC isn't giving the game away with mistakes. Way to go, UW!

Who the hell knows? If Willingham hadn't been blown out 3 years in a row by USC, he might still be the coach at ND.

In his defense, that was a really unfortunate three-year period in which to play the Trojans.

I just find fault with your belief that USC are close #1 contenders when they arent playing like it.

Every team has a bad game at some point during the season. It's when a team struggles with lesser opponents more than once that you start to wonder if they're legit.

I'm not that sympathetic. Willingham loses 41-10 one year. Weis loses the next 34-31 on the last play. The playmakers for both teams are the same for both years.

Weis played at home when the groundskeeping staff was on vacation...

I'm kind of on your side, though; I think Weis is a better coach than Willingham. I just happen to think that Willingham is also a good coach, that he got the hook a little too soon at ND and that Weis is not so much better than Willingham that he is worth his unreal contract.

I agree if you're doing a normal, AP-style ranking. I was going for more of a power-ranking, though.

so USC escapes with a win with UW on the door. the clock just ran out with UW threatening to score. I think USC looked pretty weak though.
