I cant recall the last time I saw a restaurant with, say, a King Leopold theme.

The Herero in SW Africa. Though some would categorise that as just a particularly harsh "ethnic cleansing"

I certainly wouldnt want to see a restaurant named after the guys on the ground who did that. I dont think the central authorities in Berlin were all that informed on what was happening.

Nope. A deliberate attempt by the state to wipe out an entire tribe. I know of no other such attempt like that in Africa in that era.

"General Lothar von Trotha was dispatched in October 1904 with a force of 14,000 soldiers to resolve the crisis. He issued an appeal to the Hereros:

I, the great General of the German soldiers, send this letter to the Herero people. The Herero are no longer German subjects. . . . The Herero nation must...leave the country. If they do not leave, I will force them out with the Groot Rohr (cannon). Every Herero, armed or unarmed...will be shot dead within the German borders. I will no longer accept women and children, but will force them back to their people or shoot at them.

General Lothar von Trotha's orders to kill every male Herero and drive the women and children into the desert were lifted in 1904 by the Kaiser, but the massacres had already began. When the order was lifted at the end of 1904, prisoners were herded into concentration camps and given as slave labour to German businesses, where many died of overwork and malnutrition."

My grand mother still cries sometimes because most of her familly, immediate and extended was wiped out.

I don't think this is funny and I sure as hell am offended.

I'd agree with LordShiva here . Most of the sites on the internet about Kahlistan are written by Khalistanis . I've seen the Sikh Genocide site before , and it's total BS .

Europeans being ignorant of the use of the Swastika as an auspicious symbol in India for our entire known history , and allowing one maniac to change its meaning , and expecting that Indians in Europe and America not use it : .

We did learn about the Holocaust in detail , you know . Only thing is , everyone studies for the examination , and after they have left the subject behind , they forget all about it . That is why awareness is so little - nobody cares about history enough to remember it after they have passed their examinations .
