I am probably the most high-strung male I have ever met. I could be described as very nervous. I always fidget. I talk loudly and really quickly, especially when I get excited about something. People describe listening to me as a verbal version of getting punched in the face. I am really jumpy too. I can't watch scary movies, because whenever something pops out and makes a loud noise or whatever, I freak out. Everytime the bell rang at school I'd practically jump out of my chair. The list goes on and on.
Though these problems themselves aren't bad, being nervous isn't a good quality, especially for a male. Other people don't like it and are annoyed by it, and being nervous takes a toll on you. Constant anxiety isn't a good thing. And I don't even get bothered by individual things that much (sweating the small stuff, to use the hackneyed saying), but I just have this overall nervous, 100 miles an hour, demeanor.
I'd love to be chill, relaxed, and laid back all of the time. How can I work towards this?
